3 Awkward Date Moments

Awkward moments on a first date are almost inevitable, but it’s better to be prepared than completely blindsided. For instance, what kind of responses are women expecting when they hint to a specific topic; what kind of response will turn them off & what response will be most impressive. Listed below you’ll find some of the most awkward date topics and the responses we think are most inappropriate and which responses we think can earn you some brownie points.

Topic #1: she mentions that she just got out of a really tough relationship
Response: although “ex” talk should be forbidden on the first date, sometimes women will bring it up – for what reason, we wouldn’t know – nonetheless, if your date happens to bring up her previous relationship she probably wants to talk about it a little. Simply state, “It sounds like it was pretty harsh on you; do you want to talk about it?” Even by just suggesting that you’re willing to listen to the entire ordeal could be rather impressive. If she chooses whether or not to talk about it doesn’t really matter at that point, the important thing is that you look like you’re empathetic, sensitive, and you’re a listener; these are three traits that women absolutely love!

Topic #2: it’s the end of dinner, which one of you takes care of the bill
Response: regardless of how many stories you’ve heard, how many women you’ve heard talk about equality and how they’re just as capable of being independent and pay for themselves – women love to be pampered. Always offer to pay for the bill on the first date, if she insists on paying for it, calmly mention that she can pay the next time or buy you a drink the next time you hang out. This type of comment will support two notions: one. you really want to treat her out and take care of the bill, two. you really enjoyed her company and want to see her again (both very flattering for women – major brownie points can be earned with the right response)

Topic #3: they ask what you like to do on your spare time
Response: before answering this question, you have to know the subconscious message hidden in between the lines. When a woman asks what your hobbies are they’re more than likely trying to find common interests with you – so leave the strip clubs, trying to pick up on other chicks, and drinking beer every Sunday out of the equation. We’re not saying you shouldn’t be honest (because honesty is always the best policy) but you should maybe leave those details out until she knows you a bit better.
